Fort Kaab Bin Ashraf Al Madinah is a fort located in the city of Medina in Saudi Arabia. Built during the pre-Islamic era, it was an important defense structure that served to protect the city from invading armies. The fort was named after the great Islamic warrior and companion of the Prophet Muhammad, Kaab bin Ashraf. According to historical accounts, Kaab bin Ashraf was killed in battle alongside many others of his tribe defending Medina against an attacking force led by Khalid ibn Al Walid.
The structure of Fort Kaab Bin Ashraf Al Madinah is made up of four towers and a wall around each tower. Each tower stands at a different height and features unique architectural features such as crenellations, embrasures, and sloping walls. The tallest tower stands at 16 meters high and provides a stunning view over the city below.
Inside the fort there is also a mosque which is believed to have been built by Umar al-Khattab during his reign as caliph. The mosque serves as an important place for prayer and worship for Muslims who live in Medina or are visiting on pilgrimage.
